Pranešime siekiama apžvelgti, kokia yra gyvenamųjų monolitinių pastatų Vilniuje architektūrinė-urbanistinė reikšmė ir savitumai, nagrinėjamos šiandieninės jų modernizavimo problemos, pastatų gyventojų ir valstybės įtaka šiems pokyčiams. Pranešime atkreipiamas dėmesys į galimą aukštybinių pastatų ir jų aplinkos kompleksinės renovacijos proceso schemą. Teigiama, kad atsižvelgiant j šių objektų architektūrinę ir bendramiestinę svarbą, jų tyrimo programa, projektavimas ir fasadų renovacija turėtų būti visiškai finansuojama valstybinių institucijų.
The paper aims at giving an overview of architectural/urbanistic meaning of monolithic residential buildings in Vilnius and distinguishing features thereof, deals with the current problems of their modernisation and discusses the influence made to these changes by the state and residents of the buildings. The paper addresses to a possible scheme of the complex renovation process of high-rise buildings and environment thereof. The paper maintains that the research programme of the aforementioned edifices as well as design and facade renovation thereof shall be completely financed by state institutions taking into account architectural and general urban importance of these buildings.
