The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of different temperature and moisture regimes on physiological es of carrot “Garduolės 2” (Daucus Sativus Röhl.) Experiments were carried out at the Lithuanian institute of Horticulture in phytotron complex. Carrots were grown under natural greenhouse conditions till 1.2 to 1.5 cm in diameter root. Then plants were transferred to a climate chambers for different temperatures (+21/14 oC and +30/23 oC day/night) and soil moisture regimes (40–45% and <10%) treatments for 10 days and after experiment transferred to greenhouse for 7 days regeneration period. The different temperature and moisture regime had a significant impact on plant physiological processes. The high temperature (+30 oC) and water deficit (<10%) had a negative impact on leave number root diameter and photosynthesis indices. At normal temperature (21 oC) and soil moisture (40–45%) the highest leave number and photosynthesis indices and the content of chlorophill a and b were determinated. Substrate of normal humidity and higher temperatures resulted in the maximum number of leaves, fresh and dry weight, relative growth rate, specific leaf area and leaves accumulated most of chlorophyll a and b. Changing climatic conditions, increasing temperatures and deficit water have negative affects on carrot growth and block accumulation of photosynthetic pigments.
