Investigations of toxicity of oil hydrocarbons, especially of melting and emulsifying hydrocarbons are very important because the oil hydrocarbons comprise the remarkable part of the pollutants in the inner waters and sea. Oil terminals, oil refinery plants, railroads and railways stations are potential objects of risk. Serious accidents and oil spills has to be investigated in term of impact to water invertebrates. The aim of this work was to establish an impact of oil products dieseline and fuel oil - on the planktonic Crustacean Daphnia magna. This small filter-feeding Crustacean is an ideal object in (he toxicological researches. D. magna is very sensible for pollution by various nature of pollutants. It was reason to use it for establishment of toxicity of dieseline and fuel oil in acute tests. Using regression analysis in the calculation of test results regressive equations were obtained and the concentrations of LC50 and LC100 were estimated. The dangerous concentrations of toxins for the water invertebrate D. magna were established. On the base of experimental data and literature it is possible to assert that D. magna is the most sensible test-object in such kind of researches. Static biotests. such as daphnia tests and algae tests, are well known in the checking of water quality.. Although they are often called "acute " tests they are not able to identify short term accidents or time-dependent variations of toxic substances [1].
