Abstract (en)
In existing foundation design codes there is no unique methodology for the determination of soil shear strength design values. Values, which are calculated using various design codes, differ significantly. Author used method of mathematical statistics for the approximation of experimental data of soil shear strength. It was disclosed, that shear strength design values depends very much on the assumptions, which are adopted for the approximation of experimental data. Therefore, reliability of designed foundations depends on the applied assumptions also.
