An atmospheric condition in which substunces exist at concentrations higher than normal background or ambient levels is said to be polluted if it has measurable effects on humans, animals, flora or materials. There is a practical need to control the amounts of air pollutants. One of the ways for calculating concentrations of air contaminants is to use Gaussian „modelling“. It‘s widely used technique for estimating the impact of non – reactive pollutants. This modelling isn‘t very exact, as some of the model assumptions compromise accuracy. The computer program called PHOENICS is created using mainly Gaussian distribution. There is taken Kėdainiai chemical factory‘s data in this report and according to it there is compared the calculations made by analitical eequation and by PHOENICS program.
