The analysis of the results of the scientific investigations performed by the author of this article together with collaborators in the field of the estimation of the relation between the silicate fiber composition, structure and it's fragility, resistance to the humidity, alkaline, acide, temperature attack is presented in this work. The importance and the usage of the mentioned results for the elaboration of the technologies of the producing of the economicaly effective modern high temperature resistant thermal insulating building materials is discussed.
