Railway vehicle investigation of dynamic processes at the wheel-rail irregularities and defects on the wheel

The moving vehicle and track are modelled as a mass-spring-damper system having degrees of freedom. The system "Railway vehicle wheel-track" is examined in the vertical plane. In the mathematical model of "Rail vehicle-the way" system, linear and nonlinear elastic and damping of separate elements are used. Rait dynamics are modelled by the finite element method. A railway wheel-rail lime of interaction is proportional to the length of the flats. Weight of bodies in contact depends on the length of flats, geometrical parameters of wheelset, rail mass per length unit and the distance between the sleepers. Analysis of dynamics in a railway vehicle with a wheel flat movement along rail is performed and mathematical modelling results of the system presented, data of conducted research is represented graphically.
