Abstract (en)

The paper presents the fundamental lines of development of the Lithuanian railways in the perspective until 2015. Some scientific aspects are discussed that must be solved by means of integration of the Lithuanian railways with the European system of railway transport, and particularly, the current research concerning renovation of the rolling stock.
