A more exact evaluation of displacements of cable, the main carrying member of suspension structure, is important when choosing ways to regulate its stiffness, other purposes. A suspension cable deformable behavior in terms of kinematical displacements, resulted from complementary external loading is under investigation. Provided analysis of standard methods and their application errors causalities, when evaluating cable kinematical displacements. More accurate analytical relations for deformed suspension cable contour, that of its vertical and horizontal displacements are presented. The eventual ways to reduce kinematical displacements and to stabilize suspension cable primary contour are considered.
