Nemunas water together with cohesive sediments carry out to Kursiu Lagoon huge volume of biogenic materials and heavy metals. Thus, intensificated deposition of cohesive sediments in Nemunas floodplain can reduce the risk of eutrofication and pollution with heany metals in Kursiu Lagoon. To investigate this processes the 3-D physical models or explicit field measurements is usually executed. However these researches can 7 be performed due to theirs complexity and expensiveness. Investigation of settling processes in native conditions of cohesive sediments is very complicated. It is before is more successful to use mathematical models for such researches. As usually, model calibration is very important for that case. It is because a field measurement data are necessary. This enables to deal with a topical ecological sediment transport problems.
