Abstract (en)
In this article OLAP systems are presented. For comparison with OLAP systems the limitation of OLTP systems for ad-hoc sophisticated queries processing is described. The most difficulties are experienced of frequent data insertion while analysing enterprise level data. Also the main advantages, data structures of OLAP systems and data servers for OLAP systems are presented. This includes data cubes definition, the concept of dimension, fact tables and others. The products of the largest Business Intelligence companies are mentioned and financial market of OLAP analysis is scanned through.
