Abstract (en)
Structural strength of Lithuanian road pavements is mostly determined by using the Falling Weight Deflectometer „Dynatest 8000 FWD“. In order to accurately determine pavement structural strength, measurements have to be performed in the period when pavement is in its weakest condition. In the result of long-term experimental investigations the seasonal deflection curves were developed and the seasonal correction factors of pavement and subgrade E-moduli were determined under the Lithuanian climatic conditions. The use of these factors allows to predict pavement structural strength in a critical period of the year, as well as to properly and in economicallyjustified way select methods for pavement strengthening.
