The present paper considers predicting prestress losses in concrete members by means of Monte Carlo (stochastic) simulation. The purpose of the paper was to assess the uncertainty related to this mechanical phenomenon. The simulation was carried out by applying deterministic models used to forecast individual losses. The input of these models was described by random variables. The main finding obtained in the Monte Carlo study is that variability of prestress losses is non-negligible. Results described in this paper can be applied to an evaluation of models used for calculation of prestress losses in commonly known design codes.
