Strong influences on the restructuring of the Lithuanian economy include rapidly increasing globalisation and internationalisation, growing international joint ventures, more small-to-medium enterprises, the service sector, etc. Traditional branches of economy are recovering slowly, but new areas, mainly in the service sector, are growing rapidly. These changes stimulate changing requirements for graduates from higher education institutions. Increasingly, concerns are being raised regarding the expertise of graduates. Dissatisfaction is often expressed due to the lack of the so-called soft skills, not due to the lack of professional knowledge. [...].
