The year 1995 is declared by UNO The Year of Tolerance. It is very necessary, because the intolerance is the ground for national, religions and sociel conflicts, wars and terrorism. Especially important is tolerance in politics and world outlook. In Lithuania most political parties are not able to speak tolerant with their opponents. They are keeping on their views explicitly. In 1990- 1992 the society was also divided into " good ones “ and into “ bad ones". It is related with poor political culture and unrealised principles of democracy. After the elections to the Parliament in 192, society became more composed, in spite of lack of tolerance between political parties. Ability to understand another person is displayed in the world outlook too. In nowadays in Lithuania it is very fashionably to be believer, and there is a tendency to act so as if there are no freethinkers. That concerns society, schools and even state policy In truth, the state must be neutral, to be tolerant to everyone. Then the society is more composed, people with different views can live peacefully together. For Lithuania, it seems, it will take more than one year.
