There are presented experimental investigation of properties of lubricants in locomotive diesels. Purpose of such investigation is to detect and enable more effective use of lubricants in diesel locomotive engines. Mathematical expression of desired lubricant properties is given. There is described equipment used in lubricant properties measuring, explained physical and logical structure of such workbench in the paper. [...].
