Abstract (en)

The article discusses the problem of providing new transport services by Lithuanian railway under the existing economic conditions. The predictions relating to the development of new fast transport facilities to carry the passengers via the 9th Trans-European corridor of the highest traffic capacity are made, and a model of fast and economic passenger train which can be used in any Baltic state is provided.
