Abstract (en)
Groundwater pollution with petroleum products is very dangerous for various ecosystems. Prevention and reduce of such a pollution is one of the most important tasks in nowadays. Natural sorhents, such as vermiculite, zeolite, moss etc., are recommended to use for water treatment. Two pilot test benches were constructed for the study of vermiculite sorption capacity. The main difference between them is that the first glassy cylinder was used for the petroleum products and water stirring and as a settler in the second case. Nonetheless the results of vermiculite sorption ability differ marginally.
