The article deals with vibroacoustic requirements for newly designed building materials and structures. Here the recommendations for perfecting physical-mechanical characteristics to be able to improve sound insulation for newly designed buildings are presented. With the application of the laws of acoustic and theoretical descriptions, the technique of sound insulation has been proposed by the authors, the main acoustic requirements for building materials and structures have been determined. Their application in practice would improve the sound insulation qualities of newly produced materials and structures. The increase of sound insulation efficiency of the building materials and structures would give us an opportunity to reduce the level of noise in the surrounding environment.
