Lithuanian carriers, transporting perishable food products on international routes have to check their special vehicles at a testing station and to obtain a certificate certifying their conformity with international ATP standards (ATP - approved for transport of perishable foodstuffs). At present Lithuania has not got such testing stations, therefore, the carriers can test their vehicles only abroad. Economic conditions of vehicle examination abroad are discussed in the article, problems of establishing such a station in Lithuania are analysed here. Possibility to make experiments in the station with vehicles of all kinds, descriptions of special vehicles are given. The loading problem of a testing station is analysed. If such a station were established in Lithuania, it could operate and assist the carriers not only from our republic, but also those from Latvia, Estonia, the regions near Russia and Belorussia, because there are no testing stations there.
