This article describes changes in organization of art exhibitions in Lithuania during 1988 - 1995. It analyses how management of exhibitions have changed from strictly controlled and centralized way in soviet Lithuania to democratic system today, when independence of Lithuania was attained. Article also reminds sponsors of exhibitions of Lithuanian contemporary art, both local and foreign.
