Šis teorinio pobūdžio straipsnis yra skirtas šiuolaikinės visuomenės modernizavimo ir ekonominės politikos tobulinimo poreikių ir prioritetų analizei. Pagrindinis dėmesys yra teikiamas visuomenės modernizavimui ir ekonominės politikos tobulinimui skirtų perspektyvių mokslinių tyrimų beį jų prioritetų apibūdinimui. Aptartos visuomenės modernizavimą ir šiuolaikinę ekonominę politiką charakterizuojančios sąvokos. Parodyta, kad kryptingi šio profilio moksliniai tyrimai gali sudaryti realias prielaidas tobulinti ekonominę politiką ir įgyvendinti efektyvias visuomenės modernizavimo priemones. Pažymėta, kad sprendžiant visuomenės modernizavimo ir ekonominės politikos tobulinimo problemas turi būti atsižvelgiama į šiuolaikinius globalizacijos ir socialinės bei ekonominės raidos internacionalizavimo iššūkius, į žiniomis grindžiamos visuomenės beį žinių ekonomikos kūrimo poreikius, taip pat į įvairias Europos integracijos bei Europos Sąjungos raidos ir plėtros aplinkybes. Išryškinta svarba mokslinių tyrimų, skirtų darniai plėtrai visuomenės modernizavimo procesų kontekste. Detaliai apibūdintos pagrindinės kryptys perspektyvių mokslinių tyrimų, skirtų visuomenės modernizavimui ir ekonominės politikos tobulinimui.
The needs and priorities of the modernization of contemporary society and of the improvement of economic policy are comprehensive analyzed in this theoretical article. The main focus is given to the characterization of the prospects and priorities of the scientific research on the modernization of society and the improvement of economic policy. The terms characterizing a modernization of society and contemporary economic policy are discussed. It is shown that the purposeful scientific research of this profile could create realistic assumptions to improve the economic policy and to implement the effective tools for the modernization of society. It is noted that, in order to solve the problems of modernization of society and of the improvement of economic policy, it must be taken into account the contemporary challenges of globalization and internationalization of social and economic develoment, the needs of the creation of knowledge based society and knowledge economy, as well as various circumstances of the European integration and of the enlargement of the European Union. The importance of the scientific research on sustainable development in the context of the processes modernization of society is shown. The main directions of the prospective scientific research on modernization of society and improvement of economic policy are described in details.
