The results of investigations into improvement of properties of refractory concretes by using of nanotechnology in their manufacturing are presented and analyzed in this article. The investigations were carried out using complex binder with sodium silicate solution, dicalcium silicate and calcium aluminate cement, as well as using the middle cement refractory concrete with hybrid deflocculant (polycarboxylate ether and sodium tripolyphosphate). Investigation results showed that complex binding material is hardening due to reaction of sodium silicate solution and dicalcium silicate very quickly, and the hydration reactions of calcium aluminate cement, are proceed in the structure of the already hardened material; the limited amount of water in the hardening structure provides the conditions for formation of initial nanoclusters of amorphous hydrates. Application of hybrid deflocculant in the manufacture of refractory concretes enabled to increase the compressive strength from ~50 MPa to ~160 MPa.
