Abstract (en)
The goal of this work is to determine an optimal criterion for speed limit selection and to present recommendations for defining an optimal speed limit taking into account the concrete factors which directly or indirectly influence the process and situation on streets and roads of the country. Every factor influences the choice of maximum speed limit - it is clearly seen in the work. In conclusion it is pointed out what is the real maximum speed on the town streets and on the main roads. Its influence on the fuel reserves was shown. [...].
