Abstract (en)
Predicted settlement and measured settlement of large diameter tanks constructed on heavily overconsolidated silty clay till are compared. Experimental results show elastic behaviour of the ground. Very high values, 1000 MPa, of elasticity modulus for tank ground are obtained.
