Abstract (en)

This article analyses possible development directions of railway passenger transportation. On the basis of the analysis of the passenger flows passenger transportation development directions are the following: restructuring of railway management system; renovation of railway carriage fleet; development of regional high railway speed communications; development of combined transport (railway - road transport) passenger service system; creation of logical trip chains (travel - change of carriage; improvement of ticketing system: development of marketing and advertisement; improvement of local passenger financing subvention system.
