Due to increasing population of elderly people, who are more likely to suffer from chronic diseases and are the main consumers of healthcare services, there is a growth of healthcare expenditure. According to analysis, in order healthcare expenditure not to increase several-fold, the model of healthcare should be properly changed. Exactly at the time, when healthcare system help from modern technologies, telemedicine appears. In this paper there is analyzed usage and an appropriate business model of remote patient monitoring for Lithuania healthcare system.
