Abstract (en)
For several years now, many cities around the world have been promoting micromobility and vehicle sharing. This helps to avoid heavy traffic jams, reduce environmental pollution, shorten travel time, etc. The list of micromobility devices includes bicycles, electric bicycles, electric scooters and electric skateboards. This paper presents the experience of using electric scooters in foreign countries and on the streets of Lithuanian cities, presents their benefits, legal regulations, and traffic accident statistics. The main causes of traffic accidents related to electric scooters are analyzed.
