The objective of the state environmental protection is aimed at the consenation of natural environment. ensuring the preservation of landscape and biological diversity, and proper use of natural resources To achieve the said goal it is necessary to reduce water, air and soil pollution, to prepare and implement a waste management programme, to suspend the vanishing of some species and populations of flora and fauna in the unique landscape, as well as of the Baltic seaside dunes, to develop forestry ecologization. to improve forest structure, to prepare a balanced programme for the use of recreational environment, to recultivate the exhausted quarries, and to avoid a negative effect on the environment when using natural resources.
