Abstract (en)
Well-known technique such as mean and standard deviation was used to segment ischemic stroke computed tomography (CT) image of human head brain. It was necessary to collect two-dimensional data before brain image segmentation. Image segmentation was performed with the help of the 3-nearest neighbor classifier utilizing collected two-dimensional data. The results of segmentation performed showed the possibility to use mean and standard deviation as features to segment CT images of human head brain.
