The analysis of the accessibility of passenger transport system and the comparison with social-economic possibilities of users

Abstract

The problem of choice of the public transport or the car was analyzed in the article, given that the complicated traffic conditions in the street network of city, and limited economic possibilities for the car purchase and exploitation. For the questionnaire survey there were selected the young specialists, working suburban inhabitants and senior pensioners of suburbs, who have accessibility to the public transport service. The survey results show, that the changeable social- economic possibilities of each member of household determine car or public transport daily using. On the second hand, deteriorative traffic conditions in street network equalized the technical possibilities of the speed of communication by regular public transport or car. Therefore it is emphasized the inhabitant demand to have good accessibility and high quality public transport service in the city and in suburbs.
