Abstract (en)
During maintenance of glass furnaces, a large amount of fire-resistant baddeleyite-corundum (bacor) casting waste materials are left unused. Bacor aggregates were used in refractory concrete with minimal amount aluminium cement. A minimal amount of aluminium cement was used in the concrete composition in that investigation. The influence of bacor granular composition was evaluated. The main concrete properties (density , compression strength, deformation, thermal shock resistance) after curing and firing at 110, 500, 800, 1100° C temperatures was determined.
