Abstract (en)

The most popular automatic biometrical human identification tools are fingerprints-based. But in case of large fingerprint databases identification process can take unacceptably long time. To speed up this process fingerprint classification can be used. Then fingerprint will be matched only with those database records that have the same class, what will let signally reduce identification time. In this paper fingerprint classification algorithms are reviewed and their accuracies are compared.
