In real conditions electric arc welding process and welding unit's automatic control system are influenced by external disturbances, which create various defects of the welding seams. These defects are external and internal (hidden). Latterly new automatic welding control system are being created. The present investigation is aimed to provide a synthesis ofthe adaptive control system of the electric arc welding unit, which is based on the application of the regulators with variable structure and parameters.
