This article deals with the problems of lightweight building. The first group of problems relates to market of plasterboards in Lithuania. Structure of the market, activities of competitors and efficiency of their actions are analysed. Development of the market of plasterboards and accessories is indicated in the diagrams. In the second part of the article technical problems of installation of partitions, partition-walls and ceilings using plasterboards are discussed. The table shows efficiency of some technical criteria of partition with steal studs.
