Straipsnyje apžvelgiami augalų funkciniai požymiai, tokie kaip: šaknų/šakų santykis, šaknų masės santykis, lapų plotas, specifinis šaknų ilgis ir kt. Šių augalų parametrų pokyčiai gali būti naudojami įvertinant augalų, konkrečiai medžių, augimo savybių pakitimus jų dirvožemį tręšiant nuotekų dumblu.
The sewage sludge use for fertilization in forest and agriculture is still strongly discussed issue for a possible contamination with heavy metals. Tree functional traits, could be used to show the changes of trees morphological parameters affected by changing environment. The functional traits of the trees can show the adaptation to environment. Also they can show the responses of plant to environmental disturbances such as contamination soil with heavy metals, decreasing moisture content or nutrient resource availability. Thus generally used functional traits of the plants such as root/shoot ratio, leaf area, specific root length, root and shoot branching and length is analysed in this article.
