The aim of the study was to determinate speed indices in guards from a privat security service and to compare them with the related indices of individuals in state service and of persons not engaged in professional security service, as well as to compile speed evaluation scales for guards. Speed indices in elite guards from a privat security service showed no essential difference from those in all study cohorts, implying that this important physical quality is understimated while selecting elite guards.
