Business Rules (BR) take very important part in any business system. In traditional process of information system designing they are not separated and often are represented as function requirements, which are realized in information and software systems. That is why in existing information systems BR are implemented directly in application code or database structures. In traditional software system reengineering process just like in information system designing BR are not separated, too. In reverse transformation they are represented as functional requirements of system and later are implemented directly in application code. In this article we study the way of using business rules in reengineering process. This approach extract Business rules from the systems common context (application code or DB structure) and represent them in formal language. Business rules represented in formal language may be reused for platform independent software system objects and data structures development and modifying their feature. Business rules represented in formal language and their model enables to simplify solve of reengineering tasks in required system integration. Automatization of process of BR transformation into information systems objects, leads to reengineering tasks solving over the modification of made-up BR model.
