Abstract

The present Lithuanian economical situation determined the break - up of a giant industry enterprises and the split up into smaller ones. Centralised heating is economically a loss to the smaller enterprises. The Experimental House Construction Plant of Alytus is a typical example of this process. Now it is split into smaller joint - stock companies, which don 7 belong to the centralised heating and have their own boiler - houses. There is increased air pollution of hard particles in this region. The present situation becomes worse because of dirt thrown into the air by low new built boiler - houses (25 m high). Medical investigation proved, that smaller than 2,5 μm particles are dangerous to man's health and, burning wood by various chemical materials, concentrates dangerous substances in hard particles. The aim of this work is to investigate the dispersion structure of hard particles end different property , thrown into the air by wood heated boiler - houses.
