Through atomic bomb testing since 1945, Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident in 1986 radioactive fission products have artitificially entered and spread worldwide throughout the atmosphere. Nuclear power plants discharge synthetic radionuclides. In Lithuania radioactive substances were used by industry, medicine and science. Additionally radionuclides were imported in Lithuania. There were used for practice 239Pu, 60Co, 137Cs, 90Sr+90Y, 192Am, 125I, 131I, 14C, 3H and other radionuclides. Sources of radionuclides influence environment and its objects differently. Influence of some sources was determined and equal all around the world, other - were varied in process of time or dipended from local conditions. It is important to determinate doses to be caused of radionuclides radiation. The main transfer mechanisms are: migration of radionuclides in soil root absorption into plants from soil, surfaces contamination of plants and subsequent translocation, and transfer to an animal and metabolism in the animal. In this paper will be discussed models of radionuclides transfer in food chain.
