Dirvožemio užterštumas – tai rimta geležinkelių sistemos aplinkosauginė problema. Geležinkelio veikla gali lemti dirvožemio užterštumą naftos produktais, taip pat nedideliais kiekiais kancerogeninių medžiagų, sunkiųjų metalų. Vertinant dirvožemio užterštumo lygį, ypač svarbu nustatyti jame foninius mikroelementų kiekius, kurie yra suformuoti gamtinių geocheminių procesų, veikiant globalinei, regioninei ir integruotai vietinei technogeninių elementų pernašai. Šių tyrimų tikslas – išanalizuoti neigiamą geležinkelio transporto įtaką dirvožemio užterštumui ir įvertinti geležinkelio atkarpos dirvožemio viršutinės dalies užterštumo sunkiaisiais metalais lygį. Teršalų kaupimasis dirvožemyje – tai procesas, trunkantis gana ilgą laiką, dėl to šiame darbe pateikiami tyrimų rezultatai rodo ne teršalų kiekio kitimą, o esamą taršos lygį.
One of the most important soil polluters is transport. Many pollutants e.g. oil products, heavy metals and others can be emitted from transport to environment and can pollute soil, surface and ground water and atmosphere. The influence of transport especially the influence of trains to soil contamination has not been studied enough. Therefore, it is very important to evaluate the influence of trains to soil contamination with heavy metals. The object of this research was 8 km of Vilnius – N. Vilnia rail road range. The territory selected for research is in the territory of Pavilnys region park. Concentration of heavy metals (Cr, Cu, Mn, Ni and Pb) in the soil was measured. Concentrations of selected heavy metals were measured in different distances from railway (1m, 2 m, 3m, 5m, 10 m, 15 m, 25 m, 50 m and 75 m). The results of research show that the biggest concentration of heavy metals was near the railway (1 and 5 m from railway). The aim of this research was to evaluate the concentration of heavy metals (Cr, Cu, Mn, Ni and Pb) in the soil near railway.
