Properties of the structures containing periodical inhomogeneities are considered. Two models of the structures are used. General properties of the structures are revealed using model of the electromagnetic line with periodical inhomogeneities. Input impedance of the inhomogeneous line and its transfer function depend on frequency. The stop-band appears due to periodical inhomogeneities. The width of the stop-band can be found using the model of the inhomogeneous helical retard structure.
