Abstract (en)

The article presents the issues of urban development in the conditions of transition of countries of Baltic region, as well as in the whole Central and Eastern Europe. Special attention is put to the the new forms of property creation as they reflect the changes in the life of modern societies and characterise the directions of nawadays urbanization. These processes were analysed from the point of view related with the reforms linked with EU enlargement and with societal and economic transformations of Baltic region.
