Abstract

The information revolution, which started late in the 20th century, is making drastic changes in public life as well as business environment The developments of ICT promote the globalisation processes and vice versa. The goal of this study is to analyse relations between developmental processes of 1CT and business, to find key relations between them, identify the trends and explore dynamics. In this article we try to analyse the main challenges and characteristics of ICT influence on business environment and to answer the questions: how to forecast the ICT caused business environment changes; how to deal with these changes, what competences are needed; how they can be obtained, can good practice database solve some of the change management tasks; is it relevant to the challenges, which we are trying to overcome. In order to answer these questions, the following results will be presented: (1) timeline of ICT and business management evolution, where the main tendencies and trends will be presented; (2) overview of main change management concepts will be introduced; (3) Good practice database analysis and experts opinions will be described As a result of this research the model of decision-making process for the ICT caused business environment changes will be presented.
