Current condition of safety and health in Lithuanian building companies is a matter of great concern since the number of accidents does not decreasing. The main aim of this research was to find out what measures could be taken to reduce accidents in construction. Researches showed that ergonomic measures, if taken more widely, could help to avoid accidents caused by falling from heights, slipping, etc. and reduce professional health illnesses.
