Many water towers of varions structures have been constructed in Lithuania. The technical state of there structures changes due to varoius causes. At present there are many water towers in bad state. Rather sufficient amount of statistic data have been accumulated on the state of such towers. It is shown by the use of probabilistic models of distribution of extreme values how it is possible to predict safety of water towers in service for long time.
