Abstract

Workplace is the only situation when people feel discomfort because of the noise. In one's own apartments, houses or particularly in streets noise affects peoples hearing and whole body. Unfortunately, life without cars modern-days seems to be inconceivable. Because of it, it is important to improve characteristics of car mechanisms, tires, street covering or to increase the acoustic isolation of house-walls and windows. The objective of this research is to find methods how to reduce the noise level in surroundings without using usual instruments and methods. Gears made out of local raw-straw, reeds, fir-branches, brushes etc. - could be used for making these instruments. Noise level reducing implements were tested in laboratory. According the laboratory findings, the most effective wall is made of two straw partition walls, which reduces the noise level by 11 dBA. Single-straw-wall reduces the noise level by 10 dBA. Noise-deadening tools reduce the branches, does not deaden 500-4000 Hz frequency noise waves; ceramic tubing deaden 4000 Hz frequency noise waves.
